Makuta is the vendor we have to worry about the least. When we have multiple projects due from various vendors, I tell my staff not to worry about the Makuta parts because they will come through, be on time, and have correct parts.

To reduce prototype time, Makuta has developed a micro molding prototype frame. This frame offers some advantages to our traditional full tool prototyping. Lead time for our rapid prototyping tools is 3 to 4 weeks, as only the inserts must be built for the tool. These inserts are built for prototype runs of less than 20,000 parts. Frame inserts cost between $9,000 to $11,000 depending on complexity, which reduces cost up to 30% compared with our full prototype option.
